Sharron Whipple

Fun–loving and passionate about piano, Sharron began teaching in Amarillo twenty years ago, having previously taught in New Mexico. After teaching piano in her home for several years, she opened Sharron Whipple Music Studio in the fall of 2009.  After five years in a commercial location she has moved the studio back home.  She studied music at Eastern New Mexico University. She has studied piano with, among others, Thomas Uctmann (ENMU) and Choong-ha Nam (WTAMU). She has a BA in psychology and an MBA.  She completed a Master of Arts in Music degree at WTAMU in 2015.  Currently she is studying jazz with local pianist Jim Gardner, guitarist Austin Brazille, and is a member of the Amarillo College Jazz Ensemble.

Steve Slagle

Steve has a Bachelor's in Business Management plus a teaching certificate with 25 years of teaching experience. He has played guitar most of his life and has given lessons to many students. He spent 7 years playing guitar on the praise and worship team at Tascosa Road Fellowship church. Steve has a broad knowledge of music understanding and experience. He believes growing in theory plus building a solid rhythm base and developing technique in your picking and fretting hand are essential to becoming a successful guitarist.
